It's A Boy!

SAWYER JAMES HAYES
set to arrive the end of February 2010!

After my ultrasound I told Breeana she will be having another brother. She looked at me while patting Jarrett on the head and said "but I get to keep this brotherbear to!" She is always concerned about things. After I told her yes she went on playing!

Labor Day Weekend 2009

Aside from the lack of sleep this Labor Day Weekend, we had lots of fun hanging out at the lake house with the family. I am not a fisherman so I didn't get into that, and I wasn't real happy when they came in late slamming doors and left EARLY in the morning doing the same, but the majority fishes so ya just deal with it. Jarrett got pretty good at sleeping through it all before we left. There is hardly any privacy in the lake house so his pack n play was pretty much just surrounded by make shift walls (sheets hung from wherever!). We mostly played outside and enjoyed being away from home.

The kids got to go out on the boat one time, it is not safe to go out when the fish are really biting, 9 (or more) adults on one boat hooks flying everywhere not an ideal place for two little ones. I didn't go, but Shane helped Bree almost catch a fish with her little pole. Mom said neither of the kids were all that thrilled with the ride, maybe next year when they are a little bigger :)

Craziness, Maneaters, and Breakdowns! OH MY!

Kendra, the 5 kids, and I all headed to Enid yesterday for shopping at OldNavy and Chickfila. The trip there was uneventful. We had dinner spent $10 in the arcade and then headed to OldNavy. The kids were pretty okay in the store, trying to corral 5 and shop not an easy task. I think each got a little swat at one point or another while in the store! After OldNavy Kendra and I were done so we loaded up and headed toward Woodward. I had to make a quick stop at the Meno gas station for some water to rinse out Jarrett's bottle, start the movie, etc. well after we got back on the road my van would not shift out of 1st. Now it did this the other day, but I though maybe I had just bumped the shifter or something and didn't think anything of it. Anyway, we limped back to the Gas station tried a couple things to reset the computer with not luck!

We had to call Scott and John to come rescue us. In the mean time we were eaten alive by the biggest man eating mosquito's I have ever seen while we played at a park behind the gas station. The kids had a blast playing and at least the weather was nice. It wasn't a bad day to be stranded in the small town of Meno.

What Kendra says we have learned from this experience and I quote from her "To bring a tranquilizer for my kids, bug spray for the ginormous man eating mosquito's, and band-aids for the kids!!" Hopefully we will never experience this again but next time I will be prepared for something like this! Here are some pictures of the kiddos playing at the park!

Maci and Averi are the fast swinging BLURS!

Scott will be home in a little bit and he is going to call VW. I am praying it is something minor that can be easily fixed and Thanking God that it wasn't anything much worse and we are all safe and made it home!

August Blog Post!

So, I thought I should at least do one blog post in August! I guess just not much has been going on around here lately, except that Shane and Ashley up and left us to move to the small town of Paden. We already miss them bunches! I wish Bree could understand a little better, her little mind just can't wrap around the fact that they can't just come over anymore because she NEEDS them too.

Mr. Jarrett has learned a couple of new things lately! He can point to his belly button, ears, and toes when asked too!! He gets so proud of himself. He has added Ha, Ha, Ha (Hot) to his limited vocabulary. Other words are Dada, MaMa, Boo (boot), Ba (bath), Ju (Juice), Bu Bu (Book), Nin Nin Nin (Nane), Non Non (Nonny) and I think that is about it!

Breeana has been busy being Bree. Not much new with her except she has been working on her killer dance moves everyday as she jams out to KidsBop!

We are off to Enid today with Kendra, Maci, Averi, and Gage. It will be 2 adults vs. 5 kids wish us luck!
