Christmas #2 2009

Scott text me on his way home from work this evening and said "let's do Christmas with the kids tonight." I figured it was a good idea as we will be heading out to have Christmas with his parents sometime this week. We made the choice this year to set a smaller budget for the kiddos gifts and stick with it. They just get so much year round and from my parents, Scott's parents, aunts & uncles, etc. that I found it silly to go overboard this year or in the years to come for that matter. There were fewer presents to unwrap, but they didn't seem to mind and really enjoyed playing with their new stuff without feeling overwhelmed!

I guess Jarrett got in some good practice opening gifts at my parents house. He ripped right through them. He opted to stand on his new stepstool/tool set to open a few gifts. Here he is pointing out Mickey on his new shirt!

Breeana is infatuated with the movie "Cars" She is wearing a Cars shirt I gave her early a few days ago. And she got a Mack truck as one of her gifts. She already has, Mater, Lightening, Chix, etc. She LOVES them!

However, she also switches gears and becomes a little girly, girl! This next picture for me is priceless! She was with me one day and I was picking up some gifts for her cousins. I grabbed two of the Barbie and Bike combos and put them in the cart. Nosey as she is, she asked me who the second one was for. I said, Oh another girl who needs a gift! When she opened it tonight her face lit up and she said "I'm the other girl mommy! Thank-you!"

We had fun together and the kids enjoyed playing with their new toys. Bree and I talked about how presents and Santa are fun, but Jesus being born just for us is what really makes Christmas special, she agreed with me!
Since I won't blog again til after the 25th, Hope you all have a safe, fun, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Christmas #1 2009

We had our first Christmas gathering this weekend! I spent the most of it passing a kidney stone so I was kinda out of it on pain meds, but did manage to enjoy myself as much as possible.

We got to see these people and huck-a-bear for a couple days. Breeana was glued to them as usual! They also took Boomer back home with them for us. Getting a puppy not my best idea...I think Bree was allergic to him and she only liked him about and hour out of the day. There is a lady interested in buying him, but if she doesn't Shane and Ashley have offered to give him a home with his cousin HUCK!!! I am thankful they wanted him!
I was in stage looking for Ashley a gift and saw this shirt and had to get it for Shane, I think it fits his personality quite well!

The kids had fun opening their gifts. Jarrett was a little distracted by his toy basket in Nonny's living room, but Bree ripped into her gifts like a pro!

My parents got Scott and I a deep freeze. I know it sounds like a boring Christmas gift, but we needed it so bad and I love it! We had 2 refrigerators at the rent house. Ours and the one already there so we had some extra freezer space. So we really needed the deep freeze in the new house!

We had a fun weekend and now we are getting ready to head to Tulsa this weekend! Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

We love our new back yard!

Today the kiddos played and played until their little cheeks were red and hands freezing! I had to drag them in. Summer will be SOOO much fun!

Misc. Update Post

Family Update:

We finally got the van back! I think Bree is the most relieved and excited about this!

We are moved into our new to us home and are absolutely loving it. We have so much more room and the kids really enjoy their playroom. (I will post pictures this weekend) Oh thanks Mom, Dad, John, James, and my Aunt Sandy for helping us get all moved in.

Living Room (my hubby added the ceiling fan there was no light so it has really brightened things up!)

Bree's Room!!!

Fell in love with this fan had to have it for her!

Still have to paint Jarrett's room and do some work on my bathroom, but it is coming along!

We are excited to have our puppy BOOMER living with us now and not at mom and dads. Bree drags him around all day and Boomer hides from Jarrett most of the time, wonder why!

Jarrett Update:

He had his 15 month well baby check this week. He is 31 3/4 inches (75%) 22.8 lbs (20%). He also got 3 shots :( I think Bree cried more for him than he did!
Learned to jump up and down with both feet off the ground. (so cute!)
New favorite word "Booma"
Vacuum's with his play vacuum almost all day everyday.
Not much new, she got her haircut and did such a good job. I'll try and get a good picture and post it later. She has just been busy being ornery and taking care of her puppy.
