Tuesday

Scott has started building the kids a play house outside.

He's been off the past 2 days (not by choice, his rig is in the yard with no job lined up) so he and Jarrett have been working hard on the playhouse.

Jare thinks he's big stuff using dad's tools.

Bree and Saw enjoy swinging while daddy works.

Bree has been coughing lately, not sleeping well. I think she was tired tonight so she decided to lay down to swing!

I'm ready for the playhouse to be finished because then I get to move some toys out of the playroom to it. Oh, and I know the kids will have a blast playing in it!

Come back sissy.

Wake up sissy!

Uh sissy where'd you go?

Silly sweet big sister loved so much by her brothers!

And she is a great big sister!

Jarrett wants to do School

All the school talk yesterday made Jarrett want to go to school. Last night I told him we would have homeschool today.

We learned about the letter A at homeschool today. I let Jare make an alien A. While he created I talked to him about what words start with A, the sound it makes, and how to write an A. I'm not sure he listened too much. But I never thought Bree listened either and she's doing amazing in school. I'm super excited Jarrett is finally showing some interest in learning!

Poppy's Tractor

Saw took the first ride, Bree and Jare were scared (roll eyes)!

Then it was Jare's turn he didn't stay on long but went for a second ride after sissy took her turn. For a rough, tough little boy he is scared of the weirdest things. Loud noises, turtles...

Bree's turn. Poppy let her drive the tractor by herself forever. While on his lap of course. He said she was singing Taylor Swift Picture to Burn the whole time!

Boy vs Girl

Boy: Jare brings me flowers...

Girl: Bree brings me flowers...

Notice the difference?

Jarrett Speaks

For the longest time I thought Jare would never talk. Well, I was so wrong, he almost talks as much as his sister, almost!

Some of his favorite words:

-Triangle (he knows 6 shapes now, triangle, square, circle, diamond, heart, and star)
- Baby down my need you
-Sissy did it
-NO (go figure)
-Max & Ruby (really do not like this show, but Jare says it so cute)
-Just today, Take me Nonny!

He has so many more, it just amazes me that he started communicating over night. Now when we go to Walmart or anywhere he is pointing at stuff naming it or asking what it is, his wheels are always turning processing things. I love helping and watching him learn!

***Potty Training: we seem to take one step forward, two steps back. He know where to go, and he will if I take him every 30 minutes, but the little stinker will not tell me when he needs to go. So the training continues. Bree was so easy....

Potty Training

***UPDATE: after I posted this Jare peed in my floor 3 times in a row! I'm not giving up though!***

I decided it was time to start the potty training process with Jarrett last week. I took a break Saturday because we were out if the house most of the day. We've been back at it yesterday and today.

These are our new friends.

Jarrett has made a pretty good break through today. We have only had one accident all day. He doesn't tell me yet but on that one accident he caught himself and said "potty mommy".

I am super proud of him :)

This picture makes me laugh when I look at it. He drug his potty to be near me and decided some multitasking was in order!

We are not turning back now, I might be worn out before we are finished, but it really hasn't been that bad.

Jarrett's 2nd Birthday Party

We had this little guys 2nd Birthday Party on the 19th.

It was a small party, just us, mema, papa, kimmy, crystal, nonny, poppy, nan, sandy, kennedy, deidra, lori, john, and becca. I decided this year that I didn't want to spend tons of money on a cake and decorations, so I made cupcakes and my own decorations. It was fun making them for my little man. He is loving tractors so we went with a John Deere theme.
He got lots of new toys. I had just cleaned out the playroom and it is filled back up again!!
He wasn't too sure about the whole blow out the candle thing. He wanted to grab the flame so I think Bree blew it out for him.
I think he had fun at his party. He left shortly after to go to Paden to stay with Shane and Ashley for a couple nights. He was ready to go BYE BYE and didn't even want to give me a bye kiss :0)

Jarrett is 2 years old!!

I can't believe that my Jarebear is 2 today. He is such a sweet, ornery, cuddly, loving boy. Life without him would be pretty boring. He is a little dare devil. The only thing I have discovered he is afraid of are loud trucks and tractors. Only real tractors, he will not ride with his Poppy. He loves toy tractors.

It seems like he has grown up so much just in the past month. I love this picture of him!
What are somethings Jarrett has accomplished in his 2 years of life??
  • He has really started talking and communicating just in the past month. My favorite words he says: montee (monkey), Chotat Mik (Chocolate Milk), Mommy Doot (Mommy Do it), Eh do (Here you go) he has many, many more words, but these always make me smile when he says them.
  • Can name and point to all his body parts.
  • Can identify and knows the sounds of the following animals: dog, cat, frog, horse, chicken, cow, duck, bee, snake, alligator, elephant (no sound), giraffe (no sound), monkey, lion, tiger, bear.
  • Count to 3
  • Tells me when he needs his diaper changed. This is a recent thing, we will start the potty training process hard core soon!
  • Can build a tall tower out of blocks.
  • Can work simple puzzles.
  • Knows the color Blue
  • Tells me he drew an airplane, tractor, or apple (it's just scribbles, but he thinks he is big stuff).
  • Sings parts of Jesus Loves Me, B-I-B-L-E, and Big Green Tractor. I love is when he says "Seen Mommy" (sing mommy)

Jarrett's Favorite Things:
  • Blocks
  • Tools
  • Tractors
  • Airplanes
  • Mickey, Movers, and recently CARS (an obsession passed down from his sister)
  • Green Beans
  • Apples
  • Goldfish
  • Juice
  • BOOKS!!!
  • Butter (I know GROSS)
  • Boots
  • Hats

Jarrett's my little monkey. He loves to climb and will attempt to flip off of any piece of furniture we have. He is however smart enough to put a pile of blankets or pillows where he intends to land. He doesn't always land in said spot though. He loves his brother and sister, and he love, love, loves to torment his sister!!! He is going to keep me on my toes and I foresee ER visits in my future with this little live wire!

Daddy, Mommy, Bree, and Saw love you so much Jare!
HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY!!!!
