Poppy's Tractor

Saw took the first ride, Bree and Jare were scared (roll eyes)!

Then it was Jare's turn he didn't stay on long but went for a second ride after sissy took her turn. For a rough, tough little boy he is scared of the weirdest things. Loud noises, turtles...

Bree's turn. Poppy let her drive the tractor by herself forever. While on his lap of course. He said she was singing Taylor Swift Picture to Burn the whole time!

Boy vs Girl

Boy: Jare brings me flowers...

Girl: Bree brings me flowers...

Notice the difference?

School Week 1

Monday:

Bree says she talked to Breelee today. She also came home singing "little pumpkin (where is thumbkin), little pumpkin (where is thumbkin), here I am, here I am." Too Funny :)

Tuesday:

Bree came home singing y-e-l-l-o-w spells yellow. There was a paper for a cheer clinic this Saturday in her bag. She wants to go and is so excited. We also went and enrolled her in dance tonight. Life is going to get busy!

Wednesday:

Bree was upset today, she got her feeling hurt. She's already over it and teaching her brother "The Wheels on the Bus"!

Thursday:

Came home singing "Head,Shoulders,Knees, and Toes" I've only been trying to get her to sing that song forever!!

Friday:

Bree asked this morning, "Do I get to sleep in tomorrow mom!"

When I picked her up "no school tomorrow, YAY!"

Thought this was cute.

Bree is in the Greenish bluish shirt.

First full week went great. She is worn out though! Hopefully she continues to enjoy school and want to go!

Sawyer 6 Month Doctor Visit

Jarrett and I took Sawyer to the Doctor today. Sawyer was in such a good mood and flirted with the nurse.

Weight: 19 lbs 75%
Height: 26.5 inches 50%

Jarrett at 6 months-
Weight: 18.7 lbs
Height: 27 inches

And just for fun...

Bree at 6 months:
Weight: 18.6 lbs
Height: 28 inches
(she's always been so tall)

Sawyer is growing great. We only have a couple issues to deal with (still). I weaned him from Zantac about a month ago. Since he has started a gag, cough, spit up clear fluid, cry like it hurts thing. The doc thinks it is still reflux issues so back on Zantac he goes! Alimentum is our other issue. Not a big deal really except to my Wallet!!!! Anyway he said we can try to switch again in a month or so. I have to get the doc office to send my insurance a letter and they might help with the cost. I figure by the time they agree to it Saw will be 1 and off formula!

He got 3 shots and the Rotovirus drink. I get to take all 3 back in about a week for flu shots. Can't believe it's already that time of year, time is flying by!

Sawyer 6 Months

Sawyer is 6 Months old!!!!
(As of Aug. 15, I'm a little late posting!)
What has Saw been up to??

  • Still on Allimentum formula. Tried to switch to Soy, that only lasted about 1 and 1/2 weeks. He goes to the Doctor Tuesday and I plan to discuss this with him.
  • Jabbering a lot.
  • Sleeping through the night pretty much every night.
  • 2 naps a day.
  • Liking your car seat better.
  • Love baby food. Applesauce is the favorite, peaches the least favorite.
  • Rolling everywhere. A lot like his sister! Jare was crawling by now, Bree and Saw prefer the roll to what we want method!
  • Content to play in the floor with your toys or brother and sisters cars and blocks.
  • Get so excited to see people! Loves pretty much everyone.
  • Started liking bath recently, I am so glad he used to scream the whole time.
  • Got his second haircut today.
Can't believe my baby is 6 months old! I'll be planning his 1st birthday before I know it. Trying to enjoy everyday and not stress over the small stuff. Love this little rolly polly so much!

*I really wish I had decided to do all my kids pictures myself. I really enjoy it and since I can't/won't make their b-day cakes, can't sew clothes for them, etc. I can take pictures of them! I am not a fan of studio portraits and can't seem to afford natural light photographers, so my amateur photography skills are gonna have to do! I love these pics of my little man and hope to get him outside soon for more! Planned to do that today, but Scott had to work. Hard to take pictures and keep an eye on the other 2 running around.

First Day of School

Bree started Pre-K today. After a long bedtime battle she woke is a great mood this morning ready to go! She would not eat breakfast so we will see how that goes. She has never wanted to eat first thing in the morning, she did drink some milk though. My big girl got up dressed herself, brushed her teeth, and grabbed her backpack ready to go. She was mad we couldn't leave at 7:15.

Acting goofy for her daddy. He got to be here to help get her ready, but had to leave about 10 minutes before us to go to work. I think Bree liked having him home this morning, it rare!
Of course we had to work on our modeling poses since we had a new outfit on and all!

I really like this picture just wish Saw hadn't been in my arms so it would be more centered. Hard to take pictures with a squirmy 6 month old in one arm :)

Her backpack was huge. I forgot to take her school supplies with us to meet the teacher. It looks heavy but the bulkiness is Kleenex so it wasn't.
Drop off was crazy!!!! Bree was asking me the whole time why is this taking so long I wanna get out. I chose to drop her off after talking with Amanda instead of take her in. I think it was best I could see her walk down the hall and receive a big hug from Mrs. Gartrell. I shed a few tears but they weren't out of sadness. I was so proud of how big she acted and that she showed no fear for once. I know she will have a great day and I can't wait to hear all about it when she gets home!

Meet Your Teacher

Bree will be in Mrs. Gartrell's class! YAY!

We went to meet her and see the classroom tonight. Bree's friend Maci is in her class. They are going to have so much fun!

She looks all grown up in these pictures!

I think her daddy is taking his little girl starting school harder than anyone. He had to fight back a few tears tonight, so sweet! I'm so excited for her to learn, be with friends, and just have a great first year of school!

Shane and Ashely's House

The kids and I headed for Paden to see Shane and Ashley's new homestead Sunday after Sunday School. I must say my kids are wonderful travelers. Might be because we go so much!

I don't have any pictures of their house. I figure Ashley will post when they get everything finished. It was nice to visit them and have some extra room to move, breathe, sleep :). They lived in the one room apartment so long that their new house feels like a mansion!

Bree and Jare enjoyed playing outside in the dirt and Shane took then for a walk in the woods. Next time I'll pack their jeans and boots to they can go deeper into the trees.

We were not with Huck (Shane and Ash's yorkie fur baby) on his 1st birthday so Bree insisted on making him a bone birthday cake!

Jarrett came down with a virus while we were there. He barely ate and had a fever most of the time so he was pretty quite and just played.

Shane got Bree and Jare giant jaw breaker suckers. Bree always had it licking it but managed to share a little with Sawyer.

He cried when she took it back!

I am so happy for Shane and Ash as they begin a new chapter as first time Home owners! I really really wish that home was closer to me, I miss them so much, but I'm thankful I can go visit whenever I want!

Jarrett Speaks

For the longest time I thought Jare would never talk. Well, I was so wrong, he almost talks as much as his sister, almost!

Some of his favorite words:

-Triangle (he knows 6 shapes now, triangle, square, circle, diamond, heart, and star)
- Baby down my need you
-Sissy did it
-NO (go figure)
-Max & Ruby (really do not like this show, but Jare says it so cute)
-Just today, Take me Nonny!

He has so many more, it just amazes me that he started communicating over night. Now when we go to Walmart or anywhere he is pointing at stuff naming it or asking what it is, his wheels are always turning processing things. I love helping and watching him learn!

***Potty Training: we seem to take one step forward, two steps back. He know where to go, and he will if I take him every 30 minutes, but the little stinker will not tell me when he needs to go. So the training continues. Bree was so easy....

We had a kitten...

for an hour at most.

This little kitty was in the tree in our front yard this morning. Bree fell in love. She named it Hot and said it was friendable, could it sleep with her. I reluctantly fed the little guy and did my best to make sure Bree knew we were not keeping him and that he probably had a home.

He in fact did have a home, our next door neighbors claimed him much to my relief. Now Bree is begging for a kitten off and on. I told her it wasn't a good idea because she is somewhat allergic to them. She informed me that we have Zyrtec to take and she would be fine

So we will see if Scott and I give in or not. I'm hoping she forgets and visits from the kitten next door with make her happy!

Blog Revamp

Thought it was about time I gave my blog look some TLC. I think I like it!!!

Potty, Soy, School

Jare is doing so well with potty training! He had a rough day yesterday, his tummy was upset, lots of dirty diapers, but he's doing better today. He likes to pee outside, whatever it takes I'll do it! He's been talking so much these days. I love the way he says so many words, he's just so sweet, yet so crazy wild!

I started Saw on Soy formula Sunday evening. He seems to be tolerating if well. Yay!!!! He must be going through a growth spurt. He has been sleeping a ton! He has started reaching to who he wants to hold him, is sitting up better everyday, and might be army crawling soon. He's growing too fast!

Bree starts pre-k in 16 days. I found out this week that the early enrollment I went to for her in May was pointless. I have to enroll her AGAIN on Thursday or Friday. I will likely have all three kids with me to do this so it should be interesting! We have her backpack and lunchbox already, she is so excited! I have mixed emotions. I'm happy she gets to go, she is so ready! She gets bored around here and with my hands full (6 month old and a potty training toddler) I have limited time to entertain her. I have cried a couple times already, she's my firstborn and starting school!! The past 4 years have gone too fast!

Camping Day 2

We spent the day mostly relaxing. Jarrett fell asleep on papa guy mid morning. He got up way early.

They view from our campsite was beautiful.

Scott and the Grandparents took the kids on several hikes across the rocks.

My kids have never been so dirty in their lives. They spent most of their time playing in the dirt and blowing bubbles.

We went to the swim beach for a few hours. Jarrett LOVED it. He is a little fish. Bree on the other hand is more of a chicken! I didn't get any pictures. I was too busy chasing my daredevil child!

Oh, Jarrett did so good on his potty training. He didn't have very many accidents and told me when he needed to go! I was so proud of him!!
